CAD Design Engineer (product/tooling)


A graduated Mechanical Engineer (2012-2016) that works with passion as a Mechanical Designer since 1995 designing products and tooling for several companies.
Working and supporting multifunction teams, I’ve been helping technology converging and ideas, bringing esthetic and functional aspects ahead to make products winner.
High capacity in capture the project intention using drawings, scans, product definitions, engineering and development team´s inputs.
3D modeler of complex surfaces with extensive experience in highly smoothed surfaces and sophistication that are both aesthetically accurate and technically robust. I’ve been elaborating 3D as well 2D in a high quality being focusing in adjustments, functions, testing taking demands and quality.
Experience in industrial and tooling environment as well as the whole process from quotation, design and manufacturing (CAM) of complex plastic Injection Moulds.

Position Held: Designer.

Activities:  I have been working designing complex plastic injection moulding tools from scratch working on behalf of various Tier 1 clients industries include Automotive, Aerospace and Construction. Complete design and generation of 3d surface tooling data to issue for manufacture from component cad data provided. Component feasibility study from cad data provided by customers, to document report finding problems with solutions. Undertaking 3d surface tooling and General Arrangement reviews and document findings and solutions, for outsourced tooling. Generation of 2d general arrangement drawings from component cad data and plant tooling specifications provided. Petford is one of UK's most enterprising manufacturers since 1971 with customers like BMW™, B/E Aerospace™, JLR™ (Jaguar™ & Land Rover™), McLaren™, Mercedes™, Dräxlmaier™, Antolin Group™, Bentley™, Toyota™, etc.

Position Held: Technology Analyst (Mechanical Designer).

Activities: Whirlpool is world's leading global manufacturer of home appliances. I worked with development of washing machines and dish washers parts. Complete elaboration of 3D models and 2D drawing sets and technical specifications, Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T), Tolerance Analysis in Assemblies (Stackup Analysis) according to ISO/ASME using PTC Creo software (Pro/engineer)™ and Windchill™

Position Held: Plastic Injection Mould Designer.

Activities: In one of the best Toolmaker in Brazil I worked with design for large Thermoplastic Injection Moulds up to 20 tons to automotive industry, white goods and toys, since the development of the idea, technical feasibility, 3D modeling, creating triangular mesh (STL), filling simulation and complete details for customers such as Hyundai, GM, Toyota, Honda, PSA, Mabe, etc., using Siemens NX™, Delcam Power Shape™, Autodesk AutoCAD™, Delcam CopyCAD™ and Autodesk MoldFlow™ softwares.

Position Held: Injection Mould Designer and CAM Programmer.

Activities: Product development of thermoplastics injection moulds and Investment Casting. Design, mathematical modeling, detailing for manufacturing, CAM programming and complete consulting to final product delivery. I used PTC Pro/Engineer Wildfire™, Vero Machining Strategist™ and CGTech Vericut™ softwares.

Position Held: Owner/Plastic Injection Mould Designer and CAM Programmer.

Activities: Complete solution including the quotation, at the first initial conception, development, design and detailing of product and its tooling CNC Programming through CAM system to machining centers for the manufacture of prototypes and tools for Plastic Injection Mould, Vulcanization and Transfer process. I used PTC Pro/Engineer™, PTC Pro/Toolmaker™, CGTech Vericut™, Mold Flow Autodesk™ and Autodesk 3D Studio™ softwares.

Peccinin – The Nice Group.       10/1996 – 03/2004.

Activities: Development of mechanical projects for products in the motors fields area for drives and automation systems as well as Plastic Injection Mould, Aluminum and Zamak. Mathematical modeling of products and tooling, detailed process and programming through machining CAM system for machining centers. Those activities were performed using PTC Pro/Engineer™, CGTech Vericut™, MasterCam™, Autodesk Mechanical Desktop™ and Autodesk Autocad.™

I was also responsible for the illustrative designs in order to prepare the machine´s installation guides using Corel Draw™, Adobe Photoshop™ and Autodesk 3D Studio™ softwares.

Solution Consultoria e Comércio LTDA.       01/1995 – 06/1995.

Position Held: Intern.

Activities: Product design and brake components machining processes using Autodesk AutoCad R12™ and MicroCADAM™ software. Services provided in Varga Brakes current ZF TRW. ZF is a global leader in driveline and chassis technology as well as active and passive safety technology.
